Cowell calls for X Factor talks?
Simon Cowell has reportedly called for crisis talks in a bid to revive The X Factor.
The show's head honcho is apparently planning to meet with X Factor producers from both the UK and the US, after ratings for the British version of the show fell by two million last year, reports The Sun.
It's thought Simon and co will discuss potential changes to the format, such as ending the arena auditions, and the fate of the current judges - Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger.
Simon said: "There are a series of meetings taking place.
"All the Brits are coming in, all the Americans, and we're gonna make some decisions then. We're going to mix it up."
He went on: "You've just got to try to make a better show than you did the year before. And if you do that, there's a good chance you can get the numbers up."
Simon has already dashed the hopes of UK fans who want to see him back on X Factor, saying he wants to keep appearing on the American version and is unable to do both.
Two of the four judges on his panel in the US - Britney Spears and LA Reid - recently announced they would not be returning for the next series. Remaining judge Demi Lovato is thought to be set for another season on the judges' table.
