A prowler at Tom Cruise's house turned out to be a drunk neighbour
A prowler at Tom Cruise's house was hit by a stun gun fired by a security guard - but he turned out to be a drunk neighbour who may have entered the property mistakenly.
The confrontation occurred at the Hollywood star's Beverly Hills home in Los Angeles on Sunday night, when the actor was out.
The guard saw a man "climbing a fence to gain access to the property" and he used the stun gun to detain him for police.
The man was identified as a 41-year-old neighbour who lives in an adjacent property, and was intoxicated at the time.
He was taken into custody for trespassing and treated at a hospital for any problems resulting from the stun gun.
