Kelvin Davis could be recalled to face the club where he started his career tomorrow.
The Saints keeper, who has been sidelined since straining his groin at Hartlepool in November, is in contention to return to the side that faces Luton in the FA Cup third round.
Davis began his career at Luton where he played over 100 times before a £600,000 move to Wimbledon in July 1999.
Bartosz Bialkowski has been in goal for Saints in Davis’ absence.
Davis has been on the bench for the last few games but not risked while there was a chance too much kicking could aggravate his injury again.
Now Alan Pardew could be set to recall Davis for the chance to face the club where it all began for him – and where the keeper says he might like to one day end it all as well.
Davis said: “I would like to think that I could end my career at Luton and it would be great to do that when they are back in the Football League where they belong.”
Luton boss Richard Money, meanwhile, will certainly have to make one change from the 4-1 win against Eastbourne on Monday as Matthew Barnes-Homer is cup-tied.
The Kidderminster loanee, one of the most highly-rated young strikers in non league football, played for Harriers in an earlier round.
One likely solution for Money would be to play a 4-5-1 system, utilising nine-goal top scorer Kevin Gallen as the lone forward.
That would involve Tom Craddock – who has eight goals this season – and Claude Knakpa deployed as attacking wide midfielders to support ex-QPR star Gallen.
Money adopted a 4-5-1 formation against both Rochdale and Rotherham in away FA Cup ties this season.

Bart does make mistakes but he always gets away with them. Kelvin's mistakes always cost us goals. Bart must play!

He commands his goal area so much better than Kelvin & I believe the defence is better for it?
