TWO goals from Michael Spinney fired Winchester City to victory over Moneyfields on Tuesday night and into second spot in the Sydenhams Wessex League.
City leapfrogged Poole Town in the Premier Division after Spinney’s double wiped out Moneyfields’ early opener from Warren Hunt at The Denplan City Ground.
City are now level on points with Bemerton & Heath Harlequins, trailing only on goal difference but with a game in hand.
Harlequins went top on Monday night after an emphatic 4-0 win over Hamworthy United at Western Way.
