HURSLEY Park fourth XI’s evergreen skipper Trevor Foreman turned in an astonishing display with the ball and didn’t do too badly with the bat either as he inspired his side to a nine-wicket win at Andover.
It was largely down to Foreman’s bowling that the hosts could only amass 125 all out after their 42 overs.
Foreman failed to concede a SINGLE run off his ten over allocation while claiming one Andover wicket to end with amazing figures of 10-10-0-1.
Then Foreman contributed 44 with the bat in Hursley’s reply, part of an unbroken 109-run partnership with Ian Watson, as the visitors comfortably chased down Andover’s total.
Of his bowling display medium pacer Foreman chuckled: “This is my 49th year playing cricket so it has taken a long time to get figures like that.
“It meant I helped the team to win the game and that’s what it’s all about at the end of the day.”
