WHAT a difference a year makes!

Twelve months ago Pirrie Park narrowly staved off relegation from the B League of the Southampton and District Women’s BA, but this season they carried off the title by seven points.

The jubilant ladies were presented with their trophy during the S&D luncheon at Fleming Park – and the party continued 24 hours later at Pirrie Park’s annual presentation dinner in their own clubhouse.

Their resurgence to reclaim a place in the elite S&D division next summer could not have been better timed as the club celebrate their 75th anniversary in 2013.

President John Bambrough welcomed 67 members and guests to the evening and presented trophies, several of which were won by himself.

He awarded the prestigious Harry Stock Cup as club member of the year to Joy Trent.
