Eastleigh boss Hill challenges beaten Spitfires to fight back

EASTLEIGH manager Richard Hill has challenged his players to bounce back from their 6-2 humbling at Farnborough. The Spitfires are preparing to take on Gloucester City in the FA Cup’s third qualifying round on Sunday on the back of their first defeat in four games under Hill.
Ian Baird’s replacement is after a positive response at Blue Square North Gloucester City, who beat Bishops Stortford 5-1 on Tuesday night. “The biggest crime the lads have done is let themselves down,” said Hill, pictured right, following the Farnborough setback. “They’ve let the supporters down, which isn’t acceptable. But to let themselves down is a big crime for them. “It’s going to affect them in one way or another so hopefully it’s going to affect us in a good way. Good teams do not lose two games on the spin. The players owe a performance to everyone to do with the football club, the supporters and themselves.”
