City's result "One of their best" says boss

WINCHESTER City co-manager Stuart Hussey described the 1-1 draw against Wimborne as one of their best results of the season.

City adopted a defensive approach for the visit of second-placed Wimborne on Saturday.

And the plan worked a treat as they became only the second team to stop the title-chasers’ winning in their 11 games.

It was Zach Glasspool who earned the home side a share of the spoils, levelling the score just before the half-time break.

Earlier Tom Clarke had pounced on Danny King’s under-hit back-pass to fire Wimborne into the lead midway through the half.

“It was a terrific result so we are delighted,” said City co-boss Hussey.

“If you take away the individual error we would have won 1-0 so it was good, defensive performance and the game-plan worked."
