WINCHESTER City responded to their first defeat in seven games in excellent fashion, by brilliantly beating Bemerton Heath Harlequins 3-0 on their own patch on Monday night.

City’s fine resurgence under Hussey brothers Matt and Stuart was halted by Fareham Town when they won 1-0 at the City Ground on Saturday.

But City bounced back from their first defeat in just over a month at second-placed Harlequins, which denied them the chance to go top of the Wessex Premier and was their first home reverse of the season.
