Koruk’s captain Jeremy Walmsley received the trophy from Winchester RFC president Dominic Hiscock, who thanked the six referees who presided over 76 matches.

The eight were were D7W, Phantoms, Buccaneers, Koruk’s Kamikaze, Dad’s Army, MTC, T Screwed and Pink Ladies.
Second place teams in each pool then repeated the process in the Bowl competition, third place teams contested the Winchester Plate while the remaining teams battled for the Sevens Tankard.
The Bunnies, all players from Peter Symonds College, won the Tankard after a 26-7 victory over NFDS.

Tournament organiser Jes Broadway said: “This is the second year that we have attracted 32 sides from across the south of England. They have all produced high quality rugby and everyone has enjoyed the day.
“Winchester’s tournament is seen as the start of the Sevens season which runs through to May. A number of the teams will now go from here to contest the Rome Sevens and the Heineken Sevens.”
