This week, the girls’ Year 5/6 football team at Kings Worthy Primary School played in the final of the Primary Hampshire Cup, an annual football competition organised and run by Hampshire Schools FA at the Stoneham Football Complex in Eastleigh

Their competition was Hook-with-Warsash C of E Academy. This school has a great track record in schools’ football and so was a formidable team to face in the final.

After a hard-fought game in the pouring rain, Kings Worthy girls finished as winners. Hampshire Cup Champions 2023 to 2024. What a great result! Everyone at Kings Worthy Primary School is so incredibly proud of these girls. A special mention goes to the coaches: Arron Potter and Eric Barnes for their amazing support and guidance again this season. This is the school's third final and second cup win in three years.

Mr Potter said: “What an incredible day! Hampshire Cup Champions! The girls were unbelievable and gave it absolutely everything. I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
