SAINTS full-backs Kyle Walker-Peters and James Bree have been named in the Championship team of the week after their performances in Saturday's 4-0 win over Blackburn Rovers.

Walker-Peters featured at left back in the resounding win with Bree coming into the side at right back.

Bree created the opening goal for Sam Edozie when his in-swinging corner was turned in by the young winger.

That set Saints on their way and he was possibly the stand-out player in a dominant first half performance.

The former Luton Town man came into the team in place of Ryan Manning and he had not started a game since the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town on November 25.

Walker-Peters' switch over to the left side did not have a detrimental effect on his performance whatsoever.

The two-time England international completed 95 out of 102 passes while creating three chances in the victory.

His importance to Russell Martin is evident as he has featured in every minute of the Championship season so far and is the only Saints outfield player to have achieved that feat.
