ANDREW Boyce returns from a two-match suspension for Eastleigh’s home game against Ebbsfleet United tomorrow evening (7.45pm).
With injuries biting hard, the Spitfires brought in young centre-back Harvey Read for his National League debut at Gateshead on Saturday, playing alongside the experienced Reda Johnson.
But, not for the first time, defensive frailties let them down in a 2-0 defeat that left them an underwhelming 16th in non-League's top flight.
Brassed-off boss Andy Hessenthaler said afterwards: “It’s not good enough.
“Right on half-time we conceded a sloppy goal when there was nothing really in the game.
"But that’s been us all season, it’s typical Eastleigh. We give away silly goals and that’s why we are where we are.”
Eastleigh have 53 points with three games to go - four short of last season when they finished 15th.
They are at home again on Saturday to league leaders Macclesfield Town (3pm).
