SOUTH Africa skipper AB de Villiers says his side has not planned anything special against Mason Crane.
De Villiers said: “I’m not sure what we are going to do against him yet, that will happen on the field once we get a feel.
“We have analysed him and have got footage on him, we have seen his action and know more or less what to expect, he is not a completely foreign guy.
“To get behind his rhythm, that will happen on the pitch like it does with most bowlers, so we will see on the day what we can get out of him.”
Proteas leg-spinner Imran Tahir will no doubt have spoken to his teammates about Crane, who was grateful for an indoor net session with the former Hampshire star when he returned for his last stint at The Ageas Bowl three years ago.
Tahir may play his first Ageas Bowl international tonight (6.30pm) after being left out of last month’s thrilling one-day international.
