RILEE Rossouw has challenged his Hampshire teammates to use their sensational win against Yorkshire as a benchmark for the rest of the season.
The South African, who made 23 and 47 during an unforgettable Specsavers County Championship debut, said: “That’s one of the best games I’ve been involved in, an unbelievable day of cricket.
“After our first innings, the chips were against us but the longer Jimmy and Carbs batted the more belief we had.
“Everyone contributed, it’s a phenomenal and special win.
“It’s a benchmark we’ve set and we want to carry on and see how it goes throughout the season.”

Rossouw will be aiming for his first big runs when champions Middlesex visit the Ageas Bowl over the Easter weekend.
In an interview with Radio Solent, he continued: “I didn’t score as many as I’d like but it’s a step in the right direction.
“The weather’s been a blessing, the boys were saying ‘it’s going to be really cold’!
“And seeing so many people watching four-day cricket is something I’m not used to.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the home support.”
