Simon Whitlock turned the tables on fellow PDC professional Rich North in Week 7 of the Southampton Darts Series.

The Waterlooville-based Aussie star defeated Romsey’s Rich North after losing out in the final to him the previous week.

Once again high scoring was the secret of success for Whitlock who nailed another ten maximums during the event at Bitterne Park Social Club. He now leads the overall 180s table by a staggering 22.

For once top finishes were in short supply with Mark Clift hitting a 121 and 103 – Charlie Jackson checked out on 120, 116, 106 and 100. Dave Bonnett produced the shortest leg – an 11-darter.

The Plate competition was won by John Smith from Romsey who beat Portsmouth’s Danny Smith in the final.

Eastleigh League: Arrow A have shown they are on target for a good season – they lead Division 1 with just two fixtures played.

Highest finish this week was M Hunt’s 127 for Arrow A while C Ryves hit a 14-dart leg for ERI which was matched by Churchills C’s B Kerr and A Thornton.

Itchen & District League: Vine kept their cool - despite going 3-2 behind in the singles - and completed a 4-3 win over Gardeners B. Spike A remain in the chase after beating Hop Inn 6-1.

The best finish was thrown by Steve Musson who checked out on 117 for Vine.

Legs of 15 darts came from Paul Neary (Spike A) and Dave Bonnett (Vine). Harry Wheeler (Roll Call) threw a 16 darter and Dave Hayes (Spike B) a 17-dart leg.

Bishop’s Waltham & District League: Park Gate RBL C and Priory A both won their Les White Fours preliminary matches.

Romsey & District Men’s League: Comrades A head the table with a six-point advantage over Mottisfont A who have two games in hand.

The only ton-plus finish came from Ady Thornton who checked out on 113 for Star A in their 8-1 win at Romsey FC A.

Lyndhurst Workmen’s Club League: Coach & Horses B beat Minstead Club 7-2 in their final game of the season as they were crowned Division 1 winners earlier this month.

Brockenhurst FC, their closest rivals for much of the season, lost second place to Hythe Club on count-back between the two sides.

Divison 2 winners were Fawley RBL.
