TRANMERE arrive at Eastleigh on Saturday (3pm) with Rovers boss Micky Mellon pleased with the amount of “game-changers” in his squad.

Rovers are chasing glory on two counts - they are still eyeing automatic promotion back to the Football League and are through to the last eight of the FA Trophy.

Mellon has two proven marksmen leading his attack.

Andy Cook, signed from Barrow last summer, took his league tally to 15 for the season with both goals in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Bromley.

Last season's 19-goal top scorer James Norwood has netted nine times in 25 appearances in 2016/17.

Norwood was the player who ended Eastleigh's National League play-off dream last April when he scored a late winner at the Silverlake Stadium in the penultimate game of the campaign.

Mellon also brought in midfielder Jack Dunn on loan from Liverpool last month to provide a further attacking option.

"That’s what you need – game-changers,” Mellon said.

“When games are tight, if you have players at that end of the pitch that can make a difference for you, either from the start or off the bench, it’s great for the manager.

“Every game is different, so if you can look behind you and see a certain player that is capable of changing it for you in tight games, it’s massive.

“At the end of the day, we have to win games of football. And as long as every player has that mentality, we’ll be OK.

"It’s not about me or any player or any individual, it’s about the club."
