LUKE Watts will be aiming to build on his amazing start for Winchester Castle tomorrow.

Watts scored six goals in 20 Hampshire Premier League appearances last season for Hamble Club - but only eight of those outings were starts.

He has moved to Castle to seek more regular games, and made a superb start last weekend with a four-goal debut haul in a 7-0 rout of Infinity.

All those four goals came in the space of 14 second half minutes - from his first strike on 53 minutes to his last goal on 67.

Brandon Lillie had netted the only goal of the first half, with Watts' burst extending Castle's lead to 5-0.

Joe Bell (69 mins) and Callum Magee (85) completed Infinity's misery.

Castle, who visit Paulsgrove tomorrow, will be hopeful of featuring in a new-look HPL title race in 2016/17.

Last season they finished sixth, albeit a whopping 46 points behind champions Baffins Milton.

Baffins, though, subsequently won promotion to the Sydenhams Wessex League along with third placed Hamble Club.

In addition, second placed Otterbourne folded with most of the players joining boss Richard Luffman at a revitalised Alresford Town.

Watts wasn't the only four-goal star on the opening day of the HPL season last weekend.

Marcus Bedford also struck that many for Liphook in an 8-2 rout of visiting Hedge End Rangers.

Steve Harding and Toby Hutchins both struck twice, while ex-AFC Totton midfielder James Roden grabbed both Hedge End consolations.

Hedge End visit Clanfield tomorrow, with the hosts' confidence high after caning Overton 5-0 in their first game.

Cameron Palin netted twice inside the first 23 minutes before Darren Ferguson (2) and Matt Kirby struck in the second half.

QK Southampton host Andover Lions tomorrow aiming to build on their 2-0 win at Fleetlands.

Both goals came from Kevin Betlam, and both were penalties - the first on the half hour mark and the second in the last minute.

Lions, last season's second tier champions, draw their opener 1-1 at Paulsgrove, Robbie Owen grabbing a second half leveller.

Locks Heath, who visit Liphook tomorrow, drew their curtain-raiser 3-3 at Liss with goals from Chris Sales, Darren Waterman and Joe Collins (penalty).
