EASTLEIGH have today announced the signing of former Coventry City and Sheffield Wednesday defender Reda Johnson.
The powerfully-built 28-year-old, who can play at left-back or as a left-sided centre-half, was released by Coventry in May having struggled with injury at the beginning of last season.
Born in Marseille to an Algerian mother and Beninese American father, Johnson began his career as a professional footballer in 2005 with Gueugnon and Amiens before launching a career in England with Plymouth Argyle.
He has signed an Eastleigh contract for the rest of this season with an option for another year.
Johnson becomes the 12th signing of the summer for Chris Todd's ambitious National League side.
More to follow.
