What a difference a week has made to London 3 South-West side Eastleigh.

Seven days ago they had to disappoint a few players who could not get a run-out as the club fielded three strong sides.

Tomorrow, due to unavailability and injury, the club has had to draft in seven players from the seconds as they head for Purley John Fisher. Vice captain Russell Smith said: “We are really struggling. But we thrive off having a large squad and the reason the twos are doing so well (they also have a top of the table clash with Portsmouth Vets tomorrow) is because they are full of good players.”

Players coming into the firsts are back rows Jamie Richards and Adam Kidd, scrum half Tom Nixon, wings James Pickett and Ash Holland and Will Todd and Dave Craddock who are named as replacements.
