The final batch of nominees for the Hampshire & Isle Of Wight Sports Awards, which take place at Saints’ St Mary’s Stadium on March 25.

London 2012 Legacy Award

Hordle CE Primary School, New Forest: 100% of pupils now participate in competitive events, with 73% of school population taking part in school-run after school sport

Norwood Primary School, Eastleigh: Nine different sports are offered as after school clubs with 88% of the school population participating.

St. Martin’s CE Primary School, Basingstoke: Among their achievements are older children organising lunchtime activities for younger ones. Also created Judo and Gymnastics clubs that run before school and several new after school clubs.

Service to Sport

Ian Byett, Athletics, Basingstoke: Has volunteered at the Basingstoke and Mid Hants Athletics Club for almost 50 years. He has carried out various roles including secretary, coach and chairman. Is currently a Life Vice President, press officer and commentator, as well as being a qualified starter and marksman.

John Carter, Football, Havant: Over the last 50 years John has held every position at Havant and Waterlooville FC from tea boy to chairman and is currently President of the club. He is also currently the Deputy Chairman of the Portsmouth Youth League.

Len Dunce, Judo, Basingstoke: The founder member of Summit Judo Club, which he formed in the 1970’s. He became a qualified coach in 1981 and a qualified referee in 1984, covering different events over the south region and for the Army. Len still attends every single session at the club.

Colin Greetham, Cricket, Bowls & Football, East Hampshire: Has contributed to many sports in the East Hampshire district for the past 60 years as a player, a coach, a manager, committee member, captain, referee and groundsman.

Is currently a member of the Hampshire Cricket over 70s squad and has recently taken up bowls, playing for seven in house teams at Chawton Park Indoor Bowls Club.

Junior Volunteer

Sophie Collins, Equestrian, Eastleigh: A volunteer at Hampshire Riding Therapy Centre, attending four times a week after school and at weekends. Sophie is the Team Leader of the Centres Saddle Club group where other saddle club members aged 9-16 can go to her with problems.

Chloe Foster, Trampolining, East Hampshire: Helps coach the junior section of Alton Trampoline Club, attending virtually every junior session.

Jessica Muller, Karate, Basingstoke: Jessica helps coach junior members at her Martial Arts Club, three nights a week and helps out at adult martial arts classes at weekends. She also helps run an after school club for children with learning difficulties.

Senior Volunteer

Su Killeen, Gymnastics, Gosport: Su runs Suki Gymnastics Club which currently has over 100 gymnasts ranging from 4 years to 24 years.

Su coaches 14 hours plus a week, plus over 10 hours a week of admin – and works full time.

Andy Moore, Rugby League, Eastleigh: Has set up from scratch the Hampshire Youth League for Rugby League.

Andy has created the format, recruited the teams and trained volunteers including a panel of referees. He also set up and runs the website and also secured funding for the competition to help develop a base of coaches.

As a result there are now five Junior Rugby League teams in Hampshire.

Steve Willoughby, Skateboarding & Cycling, Winchester: Has helped to raise over £300,000 to build a new Winchester Skatepark.

Junior Team

OTs & Romsey Under 15’s, Cricket, Test Valley: The team remained unbeaten throughout 2014, winning league and cup doubles in both the New Forest Cricket Association junior competitions and the winter South Hampshire Indoor League.

Shin Gi Tai Martial Arts Academy, Basingstoke: The Red Kata Team were National Champions and fourth in European Championships.

The Blue Kata Team also won a national title while the Male Cadet Kumite Team took silver at the European Karate Championships

Sparsholt College U18's, Football, Winchester: The Elite team won the English Schools U18 Cup, the Hampshire Colleges Cup and Hampshire Midweek Floodlit Cup in 2014.

Senior Team

Aldershot Farnham & District Athletics Club: The Womem’s middle distance squad dominated national and regional competitions in 2014. They won every National and South of England team title and also represented the UK in the European Clubs Cross Country Championships, finishing fifth.

Basingstoke Senior Mixed TeamGym, Basingstoke: They were sixth in the European TeamGym Championships and won gold at the Mixed TeamGym British Championships

Basingstoke Bison Men’s EPL, Ice Hockey, Basingstoke: Bison ended a 14-year trophy drought by winning the English Premier League Cup and English Premier League.
