Winchester know they need to win all their remaining games and pick up bonus points on the way if they are to finish in London 2 South-West’s top two.

They aim to put last week’s disappointment at promotion rivals London Cornish behind them tomorrow but face a tough trip to Weybridge Vandals.

Coach Andy Fields said: “Like Cornish, Weybridge have a good lineout and mauling game and we need to keep our discipline and avoid giving them the chance to kick to the corners.”

Inspirational captain Jake Hiscock plays his final game for the side, as he is off to Africa after the match for five months working for the Bhubesi Pride Rugby charity.

Winchester University fly half Seb Purvis is finally fit and on the bench following an injury in pre-season, giving Fields the possibility of moving regular fly half Greg Sullivan to the outside centre slot.

Leaders Tottonians, who now have a four-point advantage, will be out to make the most of home advantage over Farnham, who have just two league victories since last September.

Coach Gavin Williams said: “We have been able to select exactly the same squad this week as last and are aiming for a similar level of performance as our last league game.

“Farnham are a decent side and have excellent coaches in Matt Kemp and Premiership player George Robson, but our focus will be on maximum points.

“We have some great players who can’t force their way into the team at present which demonstrates the strength in depth of our player base. ”
