The Great Escape orchestrated by Old Tauntonians & Romsey is gaining momentum week by week.
A third successive win – by three wickets – over Paultons has lifted them clear of the Division drop zone, some 18 points clear of Langley Manor.
They overcame an uncertain start to overhaul Paultons' 214-8 with an over to spare at the Romsey Sports Centre.
Australian import Scott Duggan (68) top scored for Paultons, sharing useful partnerships with opener Lee Wateridge (37) and Eric Linge (35).
Charlie King (3-47) and Hampshire's Chris Wood, with a comparatively expensive 3-60 off his ten overs, shared six of the wickets.
OTs lost their openers cheaply, but Wood (44) and Rob Newman (37) added a useful 78 before Jack Murrell (3-30) caused a middle-order slump.
At 124-6 an OTs victory appeared unlikely - but Will Edwards (36) and skipper Steve Smith, with an unbeaten 41, turned things around with an unbeaten 66-run eighth-wicket stand.
