MATT King took five wickets as Hampshire enjoyed one of their best days of the season in Second Eleven Championship.
The 20 year-old seamer from Basingstoke took 5-60 from 22 overs as Championship leaders Somerset were bowled out for 244 on the opening day of their three-day match at Taunton Vale.
Trialist Ashley Shaw (4-35) and Ruel Brathwaite (1-34) took the other wickets to give Hampshire’s second string hope of winning their first Championship match of the season.
