All four of Hampshire’s representatives in the knockout rounds of the English Amateur Championship have made it through to the last 32.

Rowlands Castle player Billy McKenzie was the big winner in the first match play round, triumphing 4&3 over Formby’s Paul Kinnear.

That sets up a clash with Southport & Ainsdale’s Sean Blinkhorn tomorrow.

The 2012 champion Harry Ellis also advanced, with the Meon Valley ace beating Darlington’s Andrew Wilson 1up.

Ellis will take on Sedlescombe’s David Wicks for a place in the last 16 tomorrow morning.

Corhampton’s Scott Gregory made no mistake in his match either, prevailing 1up against Prudhoe’s Thomas Rowland.

That means he is back at Saunton again tomorrow, when he will take on Jack Gaunt, of Drayton Park.

It was also a good day’s work for Hayling’s Jamie Mist, who notched up a 3&1 success over Brocket Hall’s Tomasz Anderson.

He faces Southport & Ainsdale’s Sean Towndrow in the next round.
