In the shot put, Samantha Callaway (A string) and Griffiths (B string) came third.

Back out on the track, 800m runners Richardson and Ciara Blount performed well, Richardson coming fourth in the A string and Blount third in the B event. Poppy Wright ran a well-paced race for the A string coming fourth in the 1,200m, while Elizabeth Adamson was just outside her pb in coming third in the B string.

Maximum points came in the javelin, Callaway and Wright winning the A and B string events. The relay team – Laura Jones, Matthews, Childs and Griffiths – produced a huge pb for fourth place as Southampton finished second overall in the under-13 age group.
