Jamie Parker has made history by bagging a first ever championship medal for Southampton-based Coopers Boys ABC.
The blossoming club were able to celebrate a superb victory from Parker, who won two fights in two days to scoop the prestigious gold medal at the Haringey Box Cup.
Parker won every round in the semi-final to set up a meeting with Adeel Ahmed (Huggies ABC).
This proved to be one of the hardest fought bouts of the day with a gruelling three round contest resulting in Parker winning a unanimous decision.
Coach Danny Cooper said: “I would like to thank everyone for their support over the three days. The club had more support than any club there, making the whole experience a real team effort.”
Jack Cooper also got to the final but narrowly lost out on a split decision to win silver.
Bueno Pembridge lost on another split decision in the semi-finals.
