Eastleigh big guns all staying

Hampshire Chronicle: Ben Strevens Ben Strevens

CONFERENCE Premier new boys Eastleigh have secured all their ‘big hitters’ on contract for next season.

The core 13 players from their triumphant Skrill Conference South title-winning squad are set to dine at non-League’s top table in 2014/15.

Stuart Fleetwood and Jamie Collins were already contracted for next term and have now been joined by Ross Flitney, Dan Spence, Michael Green, Dean Beckwith, (player/coach) Chris Todd, Ben Strevens, Glen Southam, (player/assistant manager) Craig McAllister, Jai Reason, Yemi Odubade and Will Evans.

Predictably there has been much speculation about potential summer signings at the Silverlake, but manager Richard Hill said: “Let’s not forget the players who have got us where we are.”

Loan striker Ben Wright has returned to his parent club Salisbury City, where he has another year on his contract to run.
