HAMPSHIRE will reward recreational cricketers for impressive individual performances this season – with free tickets to a NatWest T20 Blast fixture.

Players will be given a pair of tickets for the best bowling and batting performances in every adult division of the Southern Electric Cricket League and Hampshire Cricket League.

During the next seven weeks, more than 700 tickets will be given away across the 26 adult divisions in the county.

Tickets for Hampshire’s T20 opener against Glamorgan on May 16 will be the first up for grabs, as well as for the rest of the home group games against Essex (May 30), Kent (June 5), Gloucestershire (June 20), Somerset (July 6), Middlesex (July 11) and Sussex (July 18).

With well over 300 teams playing across 20 men’s divisions, plus two women’s divisions, the Hampshire Cricket League is the biggest recreational cricket league in the country and gets underway this weekend.

Hampshire Cricket Commercial Director, Stuart Robertson, said: “We are very proud of the fact that league cricket in Hampshire is very popular and enjoyed by many.

“It’s a big part of many people’s lives and rewarding local success in this way underlines our support to the players and cricket clubs in the county.

“This scheme fits perfectly with our wider community activity under the guidance of our official charity, Hampshire Cricket in the Community, which is helping a number of people across our region.”

An independent representative from the respective leagues will decide and notify the winners each week.
