Calmore Sports player Richie Pearce was in top form in a recent match in the long established and popular double-in, double-out Lyndhurst Workmen’s Club League.

He recorded eight and nine-dart legs of 301 – getting away on double 16 with his first arrow on both occasions – and included a 153 during his win, writes Clive Downton.

Pearce threw a total of 17 darts for his victory.

Other check-outs were: Andy Sque (Brockenhurst FC) 123, Steve Thorne (Gamekeeper) 120, Sam Withers (Coach & Horses) 115, Pete Lamb (Paultons CC) 108, J Harris (Paultons CC) 107, P Jewer (White Horse) 100.

Twelve teams competed for the Mixed Triples title which eventually went to Exbury Club’s Conner Bevis, Diane Herkes and Ian Hill who beat Brockenhurst FC’s Malcolm Cobb, Pip Sparks and Andy Sque 2-1 in the final.

Totton & District: Rupert Eldridge hit a 124 game shot for The Keys, along with a maximum, and Ben Bran finished on 109.

Freemantle, Shirley & District: Best finish of the week was Darren Andrews’ 121 for Osborne followed by a 105 game shot from Daryl Lendon of The Saints.

Chris Cole hit a 15-dart leg for Kings Arms.

Hythe & District League: Winter league action is nearing an end but the ton-plus finishes keep coming.

Ryan Reece hit a 126 check-out for Langley A, Keith White finished on 121 for Travellers Rest B, Timmy Wells hit a 120 game shot for Old Mill C, Stu Barker ended his leg with a 108 check-out for British Legion and there were ton finishes for Dan Panter of Port & Maritime and Nick Crummack of Jolly Sailor.

Portswood, Shirley & District Mixed League: Gina Bennett hit a 155 game shot for Gardeners and there was a 110 from New Waggoners’ Sue Groves and a 106 from teammate Brad Kirk.

Sue Groves also hit a 15-dart leg, as did Chris Witts, also of New Waggoners.
