Winch travel with a new look front row
Winchester head to Dulwich Common tomorrow for their first London 2 South-West away match of the season against Old Alleynians.
Winch look to strengthen their squad with the addition of hooker Jack Tomlinson from National League 2 Canterbury and Winchester University prop Josh Mitchell.
Also coming in line for first team action are outside centre Jake Hiscock and Gus Adamson, last season’s regular open-side flanker.
Winchester coach Andy Fields said: “It’s great to have the numbers that allows me to replace the whole front row that started last week with such strong alternatives.”
Tottonians’ close relationship with London Cornish will be put to one side for 80 minutes at Water Lane.
Totts are keen to chalk up their third win on the bounce.
Coach Gavin Williams said: “We are very excited about the forthcoming double header against our long standing friends and rivals London Cornish.
“Working with their director of rugby, Dickon Moon, we have agreed to play home and away at first and second team level for the first time in an attempt to provide a great match day experience for both clubs.
“On the pitch we expect a tough test and will have to be at our best to secure a victory and keep our winning start to the season going.”
Totts give exciting colt Mark Simmons his league debut on the wing and name prospective debutant Lacey Brendan-Streather among the replacements.
Gos sit in second place with maximum points from two games while Trojans have kicked off with a draw and defeat.
