BANNISTER Park Bowling Club, Eastleigh, has been a breeding ground for good young players in recent years and they want to keep up the tradition.
The club runs regular Saturday morning sessions, from 9am, with qualified coaches for youngsters who want to take up the game. The coaching sessions cost just £1.20 for two hours.
Last year the club won the Hampshire Under-18 league and the this year the Under-25s have reached the national quarter final of the English Indoor Championships where they will play Foxhills, from Aylesbury, at the White Knights Club in Reading on Sunday (December 10).
The Under-25s team includes Welsh international Patrick Bound, 19, a student at Southampton University, and 23-year-old England trialist, Mark Hammond.
