The giant catfish in Todber Manor’s Paddock Lake have truly woken up – with a string of big fish caught this week. Joe Miller, who recently took a personal best cat of 36 lb from Paddock, upped it again with a 41 lb on Mainline Cell pop ups. Gary Davis took a 39 lb 14 oz catfish on a popped up worm. Matt Candy took a new personal best cat of 28 lb on a C.C Moore Live System boilie. Michal Lawrence included seven bream between 10 lb and 13 lb along with 56 carp to 23 lb in a 6 day session on Little Hayes using pop ups and corn over p.v.a bags of pellets. Daniel Rooney broke the lake common record on Little Hayes with Humpty at 24 lb 12 oz. On Big Hayes Steve Bray did 48 hours, taking 23 carp including a 25 lb common, a 20 lb common and a 20 lb ghostie on Mainline Cell.

Phil Bond also did 48 hours taking 17 carp including four twenties to 22 lb.

On The Isle of Wight Rookley Park produced a good run of fish with the best The Long One at 33 lb falling to Owen Giles. Adam King took a 28 lb 12 oz plus fish of 27 lb 1 oz, 20 lb 5 oz and 18 lb 4 oz, while Kev Gouldbourne took fish of 27 lb 8 oz, 22 lb 4 oz and 21 lb. Broadlands lake produced a stack of fish with plenty of twenties and multiple bags. Ricky and Jake Jenkins shared 15 fish including 4 twenties to 23 lb from pegs 96 and 97. Syndicate member Neil Stansbridge took 17 carp to 21 lb on M25, while Chris Wiggins had 12 fish to 19 lb on contrast from peg 70. Also among the fi9sh was Steve Jeziorek with eight fish to 22 lb from peg 97 on M25 and Gary West with 5 carp to 19 lb. Bobs Lake, at Hordle, came alive with literally hundreds of carp landed.

Nick Gibbs did 24 hours landing 19 fish to 18 lb 12 oz. Pollard did a day session managing five fish, including a 20 lb 6 oz mirror.

Longbridge Lake at Romsey saw Ben Slidel and Andrew McFarlane land 50 fish between them in 24 hours including fish to 16 lb on Tigernut boilies.

Simon Courcha (Hythe) took the week’s best fish with a 20 lb ghostie and a 17 lb common.

The Ringwood Valley waters livened up this week with Chris Riggler fishing Christchurch A.C’s Hucklebrook and landed five carp including commons of 24 lb 2 oz, 19 lb, 18 lb 8 oz, a mirror of 18 lb 4 oz and a low double. On Ringwood’s Northfield Lake, Dave Morgan took a 22 lb 4 oz mirror, while Tony Sampson took a 20 lb and Michael Fugetta 17 lb. Chris Carter and James McKay shared a 12 fish haul with James taking fish to 22 lb 4 oz and Chris mirrors to 22 lb 10 oz.
