Even ‘Old Stoneface’ John Lowe could raise a smile after losing a couple of games this week.

The former three times BDO champion – who also secured the News of the World title three times and the World Masters twice – is famous for his televised toe-to-toe battles with Eric Bristow.

Lowe, 67, was at the Saxon Inn at Calmore near Totton on Tuesday to show that he can still throw a dart.

However two players, Rupert Eldridge and Ron Atwill, got the better of Lowe during the evening.
