New Forest ace Scott Mitchell broke his Lakeside world championship duck tonight.
The Bransgore ace defeated Mark Barilli 3-2 in a deciding set to record his first win in four attempts at Frimley Green.
The 12th seed now takes on Robbie Green, conqueror of champion Christian Kist, in the second round.
