Two hurt in plane crash north of Winchester
TWO people were injured when a light aircraft crashed near an airfield near Micheldever.
The two-seater plane came down in a wooded area close to Popham airfield in Hampshire just before 3pm on Saturday.
The pilot and passenger were taken to hospital but their injuries were not believed to be serious.
A spokesman for Hampshire Police said: “Shortly before 3pm police were called following reports of a crash of a light aircraft near Micheldever and Popham.
“Officers attended the scene and it was found that a two-seater light aircraft had crashed.
“Both the pilot and the passenger have sustained injuries but these are not believed to be serious at this time.”
