Winchester’s main nightclub is on the market with an asking price of £875,000.
Agents Christie + Co says there has been much interest in The Porthouse on Upper Brook Street.
Keith Goodwin, of Christie’s pubs and restaurants department, based in Staple Gardens, Winchester: said: “There is quite a lot of interest. There are offers on the table from good experienced late-night bar operators, entrepreneurs with other similar businesses. It is a well-known property in the centre of Winchester.
“The new owners are expected to refurbish and invest quite a lot of money in the property.”
The Porthouse is currently mainly aimed at students, and Mr Goodwin said he believed there would be no change in direction.
The sale is for the freehold, of building and business, which is currently owned by TSG.
