COMMUTERS between Winchester and Southampton are to benefit from more buses at peak times.
Bus operator Bluestar will be introducing extra buses in the morning and evening on its number 1 service as part of its new timetable from Sunday. (Feb 26) It means four buses an hour on the route instead of the current three.
The service will continue to offer a bus every 20 minutes throughout the day.
Departure times will change slightly so service users are advised to check the new timetable on the website or pick up a new A7 timetable produced specially, which will be available on board buses this week.
One of Bluestar’s dedicated double deck vehicles on Bluestar 1, fleet no. 1131 is also trialling free wi-fi on the popular commuter service for customers to make use of on their journey.
