A BUSINESS that started in Alresford has been shortlisted for a national award.
Caracoli has been nominated in the best small shop category in the Telegraph awards.
Nomination was depenmdent on the number of votes but the final choice will be down to judges.
It opened its first shop/cafe in Broad Street, Alresford in 2005 and has since expanded to Guildford and most recently Winchester. The head office, warehouse and kitchen is in Twyford, near Winchester.
Caracoli is a family-run firm, founded by Gail Nichols and now run by her son James. Gail remains responsible for purchasing and brand presentation. It currently employs around 40 people.
