SICK children at a Winchester hospice will be able to enjoy a new garden thanks to a grant from the county council.
Naomi House Children’s Hospice, in Sutton Scotney, will be given £5,000 for the project, after leader of Hampshire County Council, councillor Ken Thornber, approved it on January 19.
The grant will enable a newly landscaped garden at the hospice making a safer and more enjoyable environment for the children, with new turf, re-surfaced paths and a new circular lawn.
The hospice provides support and care for children and young adults with life threatening conditions.
