BT has announced that around 30,000 homes and businesses in Hampshire will have access to faster broadband.
Alresford, Medstead and Twyford, will be amongst the latest communities in the county to benefit from the rollout of BT’s new broadband service.
Broadband speeds across some parts of Hampshire are not as fast as other parts of Britain but the new service will offer more than double the speed previously available from BT. The new service is already available in Southampton and Romsey. John Weaver, BT’s South East regional director, said: “This is an important step forward for Hampshire. In these challenging economic times, faster broadband can help businesses become more competitive, find new customers and work more flexibly as well as greatly improving the online services available to families, home workers and other internet users."
