A GIANT production looks set to launch the Hat Fair in Winchester on Friday July 6.
The annual street performing events will be opened by French company Generik Vapeur.
Their production Waterlitz contains a giant central figure constructed from shipping containers. At approximately 30 metres high, the character, Omni Ideal X will dominate the performance.
The site on which Omni Ideal X will be constructed has not been confirmed but it will be built two to three days before the show.
Hat Fair artistic director, Kate Hazel said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have this new show from Generik Vapeur and to be bringing the very best of European street art to Winchester.”
The free street performing event will run from Friday July 6 to Sunday July 8.
