A WINCHESTER suburb has been hit by a spate of vehicle crime.
Thirteen incidents have been recorded in the Highcliffe area of the city between Thursday and Friday January 19-20.
The streets affected include Milland Road, Petersfield Road, Highcliffe Road, Dell Road, Canute Road and Fivefields Road.
Crimes included four thefts of motor vehicles, one theft from, four tampering and four damages.
Police believe these happened in the early hours and are appealing for information.
Sergeant Phil Shore, who is investigating, said today: “We have had a large number of vehicle crimes reported and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Did you see or hear anything suspicious?
“In addition, I’d like to remind motorists to remove valuables from their vehicles and to keep them locked.”
