WALKERS are needed to take part in this year's Clarendon Way Walk in aid of Naomi House Children's Hospice.

More than 600 people have already signed up for the event that takes fundraisers on a 26 or 12-mile route from Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury Cathedral on June 6.

Vicky Amos, a nurse at Naomi House, is one of the hundreds of people who will be raising cash for the charity at Sutton Scotney next month.

She said: “Last year it was fantastic to see so many people walking together to raise money for the children and young people's hospices. The support that this event gets from the local community is just so inspiring. Events like this give everyone an opportunity to make a real difference by raising vital funds to support the work that we do with local families at Naomi House and Jack's Place, and every penny raised really does have a huge impact on the lives of the families we support.”

Vicky will be joined by group of eight family and friends including her husband, dad and mother-in-law.
