IT was a golden evening for Intech Planetarium and Science Centre last friday as it scooped two awards including Business of the Year at the Winchester Business Excellence Awards.

Judges were wowed by the educational facility’s "striving for excellence in every area of their operation" and also gave it the gong for Excellence Through Technology.

The Millennium Egg Award, which celebrates outstanding contribution to Winchester’s economy, went to professor Christopher Turner, pro vice chancellor at the University of Winchester and vice president of the North Hampshire Chamber of commerce and Industry.
