A WELL-KNOWN face is returning to the head of a Hampshire organisation.

Dominic Hiscock has taken over as Winchester Rotary President for 2017-18.

Mr Hiscock, of Worthy Lane, Hyde, is a long-serving city councillor, first elected in 1999, and chairman of St Bede Primary School board of governors and served as mayor in 2009-10.

Fiona Whitehouse handed over the chain of office recently after a very successful year, in which over £50,000 was raised for good causes at home and overseas.

In her review of the year she said that she very much hoped the club would continue to raise its profile in the local community.

Mr Hiscock said he was delighted to be the club’s next President, and is looking forward to an action-packed year, as the club continues to seek out rewarding new projects which will make a difference.
