The driver of a Ferrari F50 is to appear in court after being summonsed for allegedly causing the death by careless driving of a 13-year-old boy after the supercar crashed into fencing.
Matthew Cobden, 38, of New Road, Weybridge, Surrey, will appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court in connection with the accident in North Warnborough, in August last year.
Alexander Worth, 13, of Kingsworthy, near Winchester, was a passenger in the sports car when it crashed into wooden fence posts in the Hampshire village.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Cobden was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the accident.
A Hampshire police spokesman said: "The 38-year-old man from Surrey has been reported for summons for causing death by careless driving.
"It comes following our investigation into a fatal single-vehicle collision on Hook Road, North Warnborough on August 26, 2016.
"The collision involved a Ferrari F50.
"Alexander Worth, 13, who had been in the car, died as a result of the collision."
