A MAN who burgled a Winchester city centre restaurant has been ordered to pay compensation.
Christopher Bryan, 43, of no fixed abode, snatched a BTWN mountain bike from Cote Brasserie on the High Street.
Bryan also burgled a garage in King Alfred Place to steal a Makita drill and pliers, value unknown.
He pleaded guilty and Basingstoke Magistrates Court imposed a community order with 15 days rehabilitation activity requirement.
Bryan, of no fixed abode, whose address was given as the Trinity Centre, was ordered to pay £150 compensation, with the money to be deducted from his benefit.
