THANKS a million!

Winchester district residents are £1million better off because of help from the local Citizens Advice.

The charity has assisted local residents in the Winchester area to receive the income over the last year alone thanks to its free, independent advice service.

Many people who seek help from Citizens Advice have money issues and need help with managing debt or resolving unjust payments.

Last year, the core service at Citizens Advice Winchester District generated £455,113 in income gain for people who came to them with financial issues.

In addition, the charity generated another £417,148 for people affected by cancer through their Macmillan funded cancer advice service. Cancer can radically alter the financial circumstances of those affected, whether it’s a loss of income or expensive special dietary requirements. Citizens Advice Winchester District also gave 1,644 people advice about housing.
