WINCHESTER woman Deborah Lever has been jailed for a persistent campaign of harassment against neighbours.

Lever, 52, of Saxon Road, Hyde, was convicted and jailed for 12 weeks by district judge Philip Gillibrand in Basingstoke.

The judge said the offences were serious and were aggravated by previous convictions.

Lever was convicted of threatening behaviour towards Linda Knell on May 11 last year; the same offence towards Pamela Ford between May 1-31; harassing Peter Beard between April 19 and May 16; harassing Phillida Law between April 29 and May 20; and failing to attend magistrates court on July 19.

A restraining order was also imposed that prohibit Lever from contacting Peter Beard, Christopher Ball, David Brown, Pamela Ford, Ian Ford, Linda Knell, Phillida Law, Katie Till and Gemma North until February 2, 2018.

Three charges of failing to attend court were dropped. She was also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
